About the Author

X. J Kennedy is a poet, translator, anthologist, editor, and author of children’s literature and textbooks on English literature and poetry. Together with his wife, Dorothy M Kennedy, he also edits The Bedford Reader. They have five children and six grandchildren, and live in Massachusetts.

Karen Ann Weinhaus earned a B.F.A. degree from Boston Museum School and Tufts University and worked as a book designer in New York City for several years before becoming a children’s book illustrator. Ms. Weinhaus lives with her family in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
