Salt-and-Pepper Baby Back Ribs

– Heat air fryer to 375°F on the air fryer setting.

– Use a paring knife to pick at and loosen the silky membrane that covers the rack’s underside. Grab the nicked up bit with a paper towel and peel off the membrane.

– Use a chef’s knife to slice the rack into three even sections.

– Mix salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over both sides of the rib sections.

– Arrange the three sections in the heated machine so that air can circulate around them. They can overlap but should be set higgledy-piggledy, not evenly stacked. Work in batches as necessary.

– Air-fry for 15 minutes. Use clean nonstick-safe tongs to rearrange the pieces to expose more sections as the ribs continue to cook.

– Continue air-frying for about 15 more minutes, until well browned and sizzling. Use clean tongs to transfer the rib sections to a clean cutting board. Cool for a few minutes before slicing between the bones into individual ribs. Serve warm.
