Daniel P. Reynolds

Senior Vice President and Publisher

Dan oversees the six Workman imprints: Workman Publishing, Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, Algonquin Young Readers, Artisan, Storey Publishing, and Timber Press. Prior to his current position he had been involved in the daily management of Storey since 1995 and Timber since 2006.

Deborah Balmuth

Publisher, Storey Publishing

Deborah oversees Storey’s team of acquisitions editors, who conceive and acquire books that empower people with the hands-on skills and knowledge to create richer, more connected lives. She works closely with established Storey authors to develop new proposals and identifies potential authors and topics, especially in the areas of well-being, herbalism, and crafts. As a true Storey staffer, she lives in a log cabin in the woods and enjoys sewing, knitting, and other creative pursuits.

​Andrew Beckman

Publisher, Timber Press

Since 2010, Andrew has managed the book program at Timber, leading the Portland, Oregon–based team as they publish beautifully illustrated, authoritative books that celebrate the wonders of the natural world. This includes books on gardening, nature, science, and regional interests. Prior to joining Timber, Andrew was the garden editor at Martha Stewart Living and worked as an estate gardener and landscape architect.

Page Edmunds

Publisher, Workman Calendars

Page leads Workman’s calendar program, publishing more than 100 titles each year on topics ranging from pets, travel and nature to gratitude, inspiration, and art and including partnerships with The New York Times and Audubon, among others. She and the calendar editorial and design teams continue a tradition of Workman calendar innovation and commerce that began with B. Kliban’s Cat wall calendar in 1977 and the creation of the first Page-a-Day® calendars in 1979. Page joined Workman in 2000 as a national accounts sales director, and was Executive Associate Publisher for the Workman book imprint before joining the calendar imprint.

Betsy Gleick

Publisher and Editorial Director, Algonquin

Betsy leads the Algonquin team, and oversees the acquisition and curation of the prize-winning and highly curated list of fiction and narrative nonfiction. As an editor, her projects include a range of journalistic and literary nonfiction, including Josh Campbell’s Crossfire Hurricane, Michael Ian Black’s A Better Man, and Jennifer Steinhauer’s The Firsts. Her fiction acquisitions include the Booker finalist Elmet, and debut works by Nguyen Phan Que Mai, Shruti Swamy, and Zak Salih, among many others. Before joining Algonquin, she worked as a writer and editor at Time Inc., most recently as executive editor at People and editorial director for Audible Channels.

Stacy Lellos (she/her)

Publisher, Workman Children’s Publishing & Algonquin Young Readers

Stacy, who joined Workman in 2021, is a 28-year veteran of book publishing and children’s retail. Most recently President of KLUTZ, she was, before that, Vice President of Brand Marketing for Toys“R”Us. Stacy built her career in book publishing at Scholastic, where she held multiple roles culminating in Vice President, Marketing & Multi-Platform Publishing. She’s thrilled to be Publisher for both Workman Kids and Algonquin Younger Readers continuing our rich tradition of joyously bringing books to children.

Lia Ronnen

Publisher and Editorial Director, Workman & Artisan

Lia directs all aspects of the publishing program at Workman and Artisan. She has an uncanny ability to find the next big thing before the rest of us even heard of it, and is relentless in her pursuit of getting it to the place where the book feels like just what it should be. Prior to becoming publisher to both imprints in May, 2022, Lia spent eleven years at Artisan, first as Associate Publisher and Executive Editor and then taking over as Publisher and Editorial Director in 2014. During that time she conceived and/or acquired over 100 titles, including perennial bestsellers like Grace Bonney’s In the Company of Women, Rene Redzepi’s Noma Guide to Fermentation, Matt Hranek’s A Man and His Watch, Joshua McFadden’s Six Seasons and John Derian’s The John Derian Picture Book. Her work with lifestyle brands including Kinfolk, Remodelista and Terrain further bolstered Artisan’s position as a leader in illustrated book publishing. Before joining Artisan, Lia spent ten years at Melcher Media producing a wide variety of bestselling cooking, design, and pop-culture titles.
