June Staff Book Report: Caitlin Stikeleather

Each month we ask our staff to share their latest reading recommendations and give us a peek into their reading habits by answering your favorite bookish questions. In June, we hear from Caitlin Stikeleather, Advertising Coordinator, Marketing Strategy. Read ahead for Caitlin’s summer reading recommendations and more.

The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand

I grew up in Massachusetts and Cape Cod is one of my favorite places in the world. The way Elin Hilderbrand describes the Nantucket scenery in this book transported me to summer in New England and was so comforting to read. Also, as a self-proclaimed interior design nerd, I loved the vivid way Elin wrote about Lizbet designing the hotel and bringing everything together.

The Match by Harlan Coben

I’m not typically a mystery and thriller reader, but when I started at Hachette last year, I picked up The Match and was immediately hooked. I thought Wilde was such an interesting main character and the way the mystery unfolded through DNA testing was really unique. I usually pride myself on being able to guess the ending of mysteries, but this one kept me on my toes until the very end!

Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

I’m currently kicking off summer reading with this book, so I haven’t finished it yet, but it deserves a shoutout. I love a good romance, and the way Tia Williams delves into both Shane and Eva’s pasts and psyches to show why they connect so deeply and understand one another so well is beautiful. Also, the fact that they wrote about each other in their books just gets to me. I am currently very invested, and I can’t wait to see how it ends!
